Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Garden Stride (the "Service") at gardenstride.com and https://app.gardenstride.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The Service

Garden Stride is a garden planning and journaling tool. It's currently at v0.1 and under active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed as the Service evolves.

Your account

You're responsible for the activity on your account, including keeping your sign-in method secure. If you sign in with Google, the security of your Google account becomes relevant — we recommend strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication wherever possible.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you're under the age of legal majority where you live, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission.

Acceptable use

Don't use Garden Stride to:

• Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
• Upload content that infringes others' rights, or that's harassing, hateful, or harmful.
• Disrupt, attack, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service in ways that aren't part of normal use.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service.

Your content

The garden data you put into Garden Stride — beds, plantings, log entries, photos, notes — is yours. You retain all rights to it. You grant us a limited license to store, display, and process it for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you.

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Self-serve data export is coming soon; until then, email us at hello@gardenstride.com and we'll send you a copy of your data.

Pricing

Garden Stride is free for home gardeners.

Availability and "as-is"

We work to keep the Service running and reliable, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or perfectly accurate. Garden Stride is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Garden advice and reminders inside the Service are general guidance only — not professional horticultural, agricultural, or safety advice. Use your judgment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Garden Stride is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, or (b) USD $50.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or that we reasonably suspect are being used to harm the Service or other users.

Changes

We may update these terms over time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be brought in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless local consumer protection law gives you the right to a different forum.
